Emilio Cano Renteria

Emilio graduated from Princeton University in 2023 with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as certificates in Sustainable Energy, Applications of Computing, and Statistics & Machine Learning.
During 2022-2023, he was an undergraduate research assistant at the ZERO Lab helping conduct a technology evaluation of advanced nuclear fission technologies. As a member of ZERO lab, he was awarded the T.A. Barron Prize for Environmental Leadership and the James Hayes-Edgar Palmer prize, Princeton Engineering’s highest undergraduate honor. After graduating, he began working as a software engineer at Appian Corporation where he manages the deployment infrastructure for several machine learning models. He is also pursuing a part-time Master’s degree at Georgia Tech in machine learning. Moving forward, he hopes to combine his experiences in energy modeling and machine learning to drive innovation in the field.
